I am pleased to announce that Shoe String Safaris has affiliated with Stewart Ranch Enterprises to offer some excellent hunting opportunities in the North-Central/Rolling Plains area of Texas.

While this is a "New" company in some aspects, the services provided and the hunting opportunities available are based on many years of experience of the staff.

Along with the quality hunting opportunities we offer, we also offer lease maintenance services.

The properties and areas that we presently operate in are located in Archer, Baylor, Throckmorton and Young counties and comprise about 20,000 acres.

Hunts for the following species can be arranged.

All Hunts Listed Are Guided Hunts.

Please Note: On our Deer Hunts, we have a Minimum Caliber restriction of 243.

On All of our hunts, Blood Drawn = Animal Killed.

We will do everything humanly possible to recover wounded game.

We ask that our clients use good judgement on taking shots and have their equipment properly sighted in.

Additional hunting days for any of our hunts can be arranged, ask about prices and availability.

Airport Pick-up / Drop-off from Dallas-Fort Worth International is available at $100.00 per person round trip. It is approximately 100 miles from DFW to Olney, and is the closest major airport.

Connecting flights may be available into the Wichita Falls airport, in which case pick-up / drop-off to that location is $50.00 per person round trip.

Meals and Transportation during some of the hunts is provided.

For other hunts these can be arranged.

Lodging at a local motel can be arranged.

On all of our hunts Non-Hunting companions / observers can be accommodated, call for prices.

Trophy and Management Whitetail Deer.

These hunts are for Free Range / Low Fence white tail deer.

These are 3 Day hunts, that start at Noon on Friday and end at noon on Monday.

Other days can be arranged, but the basic hunt is for three afternoon hunts and three morning hunts.

Our Basic hunt is for 1, white tail buck, up to 125 Boone and Crockett Gross score, 1 white tail doe and 1 feral hog.

Price for this hunt is $1500.00.

If a buck is not taken, a second white tail doe or a second feral hog can be taken at no charge.

Following are the additional charges for larger white tail bucks and additional white tail does and/or feral hogs.

Additional charges due upon kill of animal.

Prices are based on Boone and Crockett Gross Scores.

Bucks scoring 130 to 145 B&C Gross additional Trophy Fee of $1000.00.

Bucks scoring 150 to 165 B&C Gross additional Trophy Fee of $2000.00.

Bucks scoring over 170 B&C Gross additional Trophy Fee of $4000.00.

Additional white tail does can be taken for $200.00.

Additional Feral Hogs can be taken at the following prices:

Under 100 pounds = $75.00.

Over 100 pounds = $125.00.

Other hunting opportunities available.

Please Note: Some of the additional hunting opportunities available are dependent upon the Open Season for those species.

Feral Hogs and Predators can be hunted year round, depending on what other huntings activities may be taking place on the properties.

White tail doe / feral hog / waterfowl combination.

These hunts are available at $300.00 per day/per person.

Meals and transportation during hunt provided.

This hunt consists of hunting deer early in the morning, jump shooting farm ponds during mid-day and hunting deer / feral hog from a stand in the afternoon / evening.

Half Day Waterfowl hunts.

These hunts combine early morning hunting over decoys from a blind and mid-morning jump shooting on farm ponds.

Snacks and drinks along with transportation during the hunt provided.

Price of this hunt is $150.00 per person, 4 hunter maximum.

Waterfowl / Feral Hog combination.

This hunt consists of hunting waterfowl over decoys from a blind at daylight, then jump shooting farm ponds until Noon, then going to a stand in the afternoon and hunting feral hogs until dark.

Meals and transportation during hunt provided.

Price of this hunt is $250.00 per person, with a maximum of 4 hunters.

Spring Turkey hunting. (Rio Grande strain).

Note: As with all the other hunt packages offered, Feral Hog hunting can be arranged during a turkey hunt.

Note: Spring Turkey hunting offered only during the open season.

For the counties the hunting properties are located in, for 2010 the season is open from April 3 thru May 16.

In the counties where the hunts are offered, turkeys can be hunted with shotgun, rifle or bow, and by either calling them or hunting at a feeder.

3 night / 2 day Turkey Only hunt, for 1 Rio Grande strain Gobbler, the price is $450.00 per hunter, maximum of 4 hunters.

A second Gobbler can be taken for $200.00 additional.

Hunting for 1 Feral Hog can be included for $150.00 per person.

A second hog can be taken for $100.00.

Feral Hogs.

The following pictures were taken by Game Cameras on two of the properties being hunted, these properties are about 40 miles from each other.

There are Feral Hogs present on all the properties owned and managed by Stewart Ranch Enterprises and hunting opportunities are available for these animals.

Basic Feral Hog hunt is 3 nights / 2 days, starting on Friday afternoon.

Hunters will meet a member of ther staff at Stewart's Grocery in Olney Texas on Friday afternoon.

If hunters arrive in time on Friday, they will be taken to a blind that afternoon.

Accommodations at a local motel or at a cabin on one of the hunting properties can be arranged.

Hunters will be allowed to take 2 hogs on this hunt, price of hunt is $400.00 per person.

Up to 6 hunters can be accommodated on these hunts.

All of the properties managed by Stewart Ranch Enterprises are low fenced and any potential record book animals would be registerable.
