Hello, And Many Thanks For Checking Out Our Site.

We conduct our business under the basic concept that our clients want to have a quality and memorable outdoor experience.

To achieve this goal, we do everything we can to make your time with us safe, fun, and hopefully successful as is humanly possible.

We ask that our clients arrive at our Hunt Headquarters as early as possible in the day, on the day before your hunt period begins.

This way you will have time to meet the camp staff and guides, and you will get a tour of the ranch. (Also if everything goes right, maybe even get the chance to do a little hunting.)

Hunt Headquarters is on the Ranch and is about 5 miles south of I-10 off of Ranch Road 2023.

There are signs directing clients to the Hunt Headquarters. All clients are housed on the ranch during their hunt.

What follows is  general description of how our hunting day operates.

Please note, hunters doing Semi-Guided / Self-Guided hunts will be operating under a slightly different schedule.

Our hunt days start at 5:00 a.m., when the camp staff gets up and starts cooking breakfast.

Wake-up call for our clients is given at 6:00 a.m. .

Breakfast is served at 7:00 a.m.

As soon as clients finish eating, they will get their gear ready and loaded into the vehicle their guide will be using that day.

Semi-Guided / Self-Guided hunters will be using their own vehicles if they desire to do so.

Before leaving camp guided hunters will decide on the shooting rotation for the day.

Hunters wishing to hunt from stands will be dropped off at their stand first, and will be checked on @ 3 hour intervals.

Hunters hunting from stands/ground blinds will have plenty of water and snacks left with them, and are required to stay at/in stand until their guide returns.

We do not leave camp before it is light enough to shoot, as we have seen and taken Javelina within sight of camp.

When we leave camp, we will be driving to a predetermined hunting area.

We will be watching for game when we leave the Hunt HQ. however, and if anything is spotted while traveling, we will stop and see if anyone wants to try for the animal(s) that have been spotted.

If nothing is spotted on the trip out, when we get to the area we will be hunting, we will park the vehicles, and start walking.

We will be walking a roughly circular route, ending up back at the vehicle.

Some of this will depend on the area we are hunting, and the weather and wind conditions.

These walks vary in distance from 1 mile to 3 miles, depending on the area we are hunting and how co-operative the wildlife is.

We will hunt this way until 11:00 or 11:30, then depending on what has been decided about lunch, we will take a break.

Lunch can be had back at Hunt HQ, or we can take lunch/snack stuff with us.

Also about 11 is when we will check back in on the folks that wanted to sit in the  stands.

We will pick them up, and depending on time and what everybody wants to do, we will take a 1 to 2 hour break.

We'll head back out between 2:00 and 3:00 p.m., putting the stand hunters back in their stands, or moving them to another stand if they want, or taking them with us and letting someone else sit in a stand for a while if they want to.

We'll hunt Javelina untill sunset, even though legal shooting time goes until 30 minutes after sunset.

This is done on a case by case basis; a wounded javelina can go a long way, and remember: blood drawn, counts as a kill.

It is better to shut down a little early than lose an animal.

Rabbits and predators can and will be hunted after dark, and some of this hunting will take place as we are making our way out of the pastures headed to Hunt HQ for supper. This applies to our semi-guided/self-guided hunts also.

Persons in stands will be picked up as close to sundown, or immediately after as is possible.

For our semi-guided/self-guided hunters using their own vehicles, you will need to be coming out of your hunting area as soon as possible after sun down, and headed to the Hunt HQ by the most direct route possible.

Just a few words here about predator hunting.

When we are out walking and glassing, the guides will have mouth blown predator calls with them and are more than willing to set up and call, in good looking areas.

We have called in several foxes during our daytime hunts.

Supper will be served from 7:30 to 8:30. If you intend on eating, Be There!

After supper, all hunters will have the option of either going out for some predator/jackrabbit hunting, or staying in camp and relaxing around a campfire or watching a video/DVD.

We do have a TV with 1 local channel, and DVD/VCR, along with some tapes/discs.

Hunters will be back to camp about 11:00 PM so everybody can get some rest, and start the whole process over again the next morning.

Non-hunting clients and guests will have several options to chose from as to how they wish to spend the day.
